On November 10, 2009, a North Korean navy patrol boat crossed into South Korean territory in the Yellow Sea which would provoke what is now known as the Daecheong incident.

While the Daecheong incident didn’t escalate into anything more serious - like a full fledged war, it does speak to the unstable and volatile nature of the region.

Investors must take heed and act accordingly. The global order is in an increasingly precarious position and another major war between great powers seems inevitable.
