On September 28, 1892, players from Wyoming Seminary and Mansfield University played the first ever night football game.

The game itself lasted just 20 minutes, and ended in a 0-0 tie at halftime because the lighting system being used was so inadequate. It’s also said that several players had collisions with the light pole.
