Floodwaters Rising After Levee Break In California

Emergency crews rushed to repair a levee break on a storm-swollen river on California's central coast as flood water swamped local communities.

Officials said the Pajaro River’s levee rupture has grown to at least 120 meters since it failed last week. Over 8,500 people were forced to evacuate, and about 50 were rescued as the water rose.
