Northern Fleet frigate Admiral Gorshkov's helicopter pilots train to search for submarines in the Indian Ocean.

🚁 The pilots made anti-submarine patrol flights throughout the crossing path, searched for submarines using regular radio equipment and an on-board hydroacoustic station, and set up obstacles made of hydroacoustic buoys.

◽️ The training of the pilots was of a planned nature. During the flights, they also conducted aerial reconnaissance to reveal the air and surface conditions along the ships' route.

The frigate Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov is a modern multi-purpose ship with guided-missile weapons for long-range maritime and oceanic missions. Tsirkon-armed ships can execute precision and destructive strikes against enemy targets at sea or on land. At the same time, one of the Tsirkon hypersonic missiles' unique characteristics is their capacity to reliably breach any modern and advanced air and missile defence systems.
