DELIVERANCE MOVIE COMMENT ~

"I went to this last night. Mostly out of curiosity. I have to admit I was not a huge fan of Pastor Locke. I think we need to get delivered from judging whether or not the Lord is in something by the personality that He is using at the time.

Having said that, I saw something that was astounding. I'm 62 years old and there are not many "firsts" in my life anymore. But this was definitely a first. At the movie there was live deliverance that happened in the theater. It was unbelievable. The power of the Holy Spirit came in in a way that was absolutely unmistakable. And as a result of that, there were quite a few demonic manifestations. I have seen deliverance a number of times and even participated in casting out demons myself, so there are always of course things that are simply manifestations of the flesh, but when you've seen a true demonic manifestation there's no mistaking it. Iwas amazed to see a conflict of kingdoms happening in a public movie theater. And yes there were many actual deliverances.

I am so impressed with what the Lord is doing these days. I strongly encourage you not to get your analytical critique going but simply to jump in and say "God use me" in this often very neglected ministry of Jesus. It's not just once or twice mentioned in the New Testament that He cast out demons but quite a number of times. If we claim to embrace the entire ministry of Jesus, then we cannot leave this portion out. And to some degree I have. And that is going to change by the grace of God.

It was only a one night showing, but I believe they will do it again in theaters and certainly by DVD. All I can say is this, if you get a chance to see this movie, do yourself a favor and don't neglect the opportunity. It will impact your life if you go with an open heart. And if you need deliverance, I would say there's a good chance you will get it. God bless you all.
