It’s Canadian Agricultural Safety Week and farmers in our province are being given tips on how to stay safe while out in the field.

According to The Canadian Agricultural Safety Program 114 people are killed and close to 1,500 are injured in farm-related accidents each year.

Lethbridge County Reeve Tory Campbell said the organization is doing its part to help keep farmers safe.

Campbell says it’s important to know that farm safety is not just physical, but also mental.
