I'll discuss radio hacking in this session and take it a step further by hacking real-world objects like wirelessly operated cars, garage doors, and gates. Several automobiles can now be operated using mobile devices via GSM and the internet, and even more can be unlocked and started using wireless keyfobs via RF. They can all be attacked using inexpensive tools (such as RTL-SDR, GNU Radio, HackRF, Arduino, and even a Mattel toy).

We'll look into how these features function and, of course, how to take advantage of them. I'll cover new techniques and flaws in this field from beginning to end, including key-space reduction attacks on fixed codes, sophisticated "code grabbers" employing RF assaults on encrypted and rolling codes, attacking mobile devices, and more.
