As Tucker Carlson pointed out in his show, svb was a major player in the finance industry, financing half of all venture-backed healthcare and technology companies in the US, and holding significant cash reserves for some of the biggest cryptocurrencies. And yet, the bank went under, resulting in a 1929-style bank run, with customers unable to get their deposits back.

This is a serious issue, and it raises a number of important questions. For one thing, where were the regulators? Why did they not prevent this failure from happening? And why did the business press continue to promote svb as a great investment, even as the bank was on the brink of collapse?
