Family Worship Guide

Directions: Read the following verses and then answer the questions:

Day 1: Matthew 21:12-16, Mark 9:35-36, 10:13-16, Acts 20:9-12, 21:5 cf. Acts 10:2, 16:15, 34, 18:8—Why do you think Jesus had children around when He was teaching? Can you think of any other verses in the Gospels or Acts that support having children present for worship? Why do you think Paul addressed some parts of his letters directly to children versus their parents?

Day 2: Titus 2:1-9 cf. Ephesians 5:22-25, 6:1—Because having a family integrated church is harder on parents, what are some things you think parents can do to make it easier? Why do you think so many churches are segregated? In what ways can church, or worship, at home resemble worship at church? Why would it be important for these to be similar?

Day 3: Psalm 144:12, Proverbs 13:20, 22:15, Luke 8:19-21—What are some reasons we want children around adults verses in groups by themselves without adults? How can family integrated churches be a blessing to those without families? Can you think of some other reasons that were not mentioned in the sermon that family integrated churches help spiritually?
