Don McLean - American Pie = Sound For Saturday Live 1972 (72004)

A long long time ago it came from the King of the Trail. In this music video Donald McLean III from New Rochelle performs American Pie, live in Sounds For Saturday in 1972.
"I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died"
Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and Big Bopper J.P. Richardson together with pilot Roger Peterson were killed in a plane crash near Clear Lake in 1959. This is The Day The Music Died to which he refers in this almost 9 minutes epic song. Which singer do you think of when you think of gone too soon?
