Welcome to the Sunday chill stream…a little less intense than the normal stream. Here are the things we discussed.

I showed some houses…3 things came to mind
1. Why should my buyers pay 30k more for a house that was just purchased less than six months ago that has never been lived in and will net the seller 13 or more thousand dollars for doing nothing?
2. Time change….It takes me forever to get it figured out…so annoying.
3. When real estate agents show property they haven’t gotten a confirmation to show…so annoying.

We went over some tweets. There was a lot related to Silicon Valley Bank and the non bailout bailout for depositors. Will it prevent a bank run on Monday? What will happen to the 30 year fixed mortgage rate?

Finally, In my time on this earth I’ve noticed one sure way to make millions. Exploit the poor and the homeless. We review a story out of NYC where the well connected used a portion of the hundreds of millions of dollars earmarked for homeless to their own business benefits. It’s disgusting, and yet it’s a story as old as time.

I wasn’t showing the house?

Someone paid 290 for a house In November of 2022, never lived in it, never repaired it, and then just put it on the market for 318…and the commission is likely around 15k since they are using a discount broker so should my buyers put in an offer? Imagine holding a house for 6 months and netting 13k…This is why the market is broken.
