Magneto ripping out Wolverine's adamantium is one of the most brutal scenes in all of X-Men lore, with this cosplay Magneto once forcibly removed Wolverine 's adamantium from his bones in a brutal display of power and wickedness, with a new cosplay photo bringing to life a moment that needs to be seen in the X-Men’s eventual MCU debut! Recently posted on Instagram by @ryansimsphotography, this account specializes in taking the best cosplayers around and enhancing their already stunning costumes with some good old-fashioned photo editing. Adding in comic-accurate special effects, backgrounds from iconic comic scenes, and other subtle additions that help to make these images pop even more than they already do, @ryansimsphotography and the cosplayers present in this particular photo, @mark_knight_rises and @zack_attack_cosplay as Magneto and Wolverine respectively, give fans a live-action cosplay recreation that not only wows from a creative standpoint but does the original comic book scene between the Master of Magnetism and Logan justice too! Magneto Rips Out Wolverine's Adamantium In Comic-Accurate Cosplay Image A moment adapted from 1993’s X-Men #25, by Fabian Nicieza and Andy Kubert, this issue acts as part four in the “Fatal Attractions” storyline published for the 30th anniversary of the X-Men’s first appearance, wherein Magneto has returned with a vengeance to annihilate humanity at all costs. Eventually getting into it on Magneto’s space station, Avalon, Wolverine and Mags do battle, ending with the latter ruthlessly ripping out the adamantium in Logan’s skeleton, disabling him and effectively forcing him to use his original bone claws for the next few years. And it’s here where this cosplay image takes its inspiration. Floating helplessly in the air as @mark_knight_rises’ Magneto uses his full strength to take command of Logan’s metallic-laced bones, @zack_attack_cosplay’s Wolverine struggles and cries out in pain as pockets of adamantium seep from his pores, nailing the spirit of this iconic X-Men scene perfectly. Far less graphic than the original panel by design, @ryansimsphotography adds some magnetic effects to Magneto’s hands, edits in his flowing purple cape, and finally, a bunch of adamantium strands that add some great production value to an image depicting a pair of cosplayers that already look fantastic on their own. What’s more, fans can swipe through the post to see some behind-the-scenes extras showing off how this cosplay edit came to be, further solidifying this piece as an impressive display of nerd talent. So while it might still be a while before fans get to see this brutal scene play out up on the silver screen, the MCU now has a great reference image ready to go with what @ryansimsphotography and his cosplay subjects have presented here. Magneto and Wolverine getting into it is always a treat for the X-Men faithful to see, and thanks to these creative talents, their iconic “Fatal Attractions” fight never looked better!
