Homosexuality and the 21st Century Church - Part 1 with Guest Anne Edward

On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. Dobson interviewed Anne Edward, the executive director of Restored Hope Network, to discuss homosexuality and the 21st Century Church. Both Anne and Dr. Dobson have seen the rapid movement of Americans and Christians to accept and endorse the LGBTQ lifestyle. Anne said that more and more, churches have fallen into the view that homosexuality is acceptable, and the people looking for liberation are not going to find a place to go. She said, “Unfortunately, what used to be believed that the church was essentially a monolithic body of people who all believe that homosexuality was sin is no longer the case. Many churches have given way towards the gay philosophy and pro-gay views, and that I find tragic and the reason why I find it tragic is because it shuts down hope for those who want to repent out of homosexuality.”

Anne Edward is the executive director of Restored Hope Network, a ministry dedicated to ministering to those broken by sexual and relational sin, especially those impacted by homosexuality. She is also the author of Restoring Sexual Identity: Hope for Women Who Struggle with Same-Sex Attraction, and the co-author of Love Won Out. Anne has been interviewed by many media outlets, including Oprah Winfrey, Good Morning America, CBS Evening News, and The 700 Club. She resides in Colorado, and has three grown sons.
