20230313-Children Make You Think...About Anger
1 year ago
8
My ongoing struggles with depression have me thinking deeply about unhealthy emotions. One of those can be anger.
I'm an angry man. I don't know if I was born angry, or learned it along the way, but it's true, I'm angry.
Anger can be a force for good. Much positive change has come from an angry man saying, "Stop, no more."
But, anger is toxic.
I see various degrees of my lousy temper in my boys, and in discussing anger with my boys, I find my oldest (like me) tends to internalize his anger...until it explodes out.
Learning to deal with that Irish temper, letting go, or at least expressing anger in healthy ways, is key for my health, mental and physical.
And his.
And yours.
