Engine and Transmission Performance
The BMW M8 Competition uses a 4,395 cc twin-turbo V-8 engine that produces a maximum power of 625 hp and 750 Nm of torque. This highly refined engine sends its power to all wheels via an 8-speed M Steptronic Drivelogic automatic transmission. This is what makes this rocket-powered coupe capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. Its performance figures are impressive considering it is in the supercar segment which weighs over 1,950.5 kg.

However, the M8 variant has a stiff steering system, making its driving performance disturbing the driver's comfort. The driver can choose a sedan driving mode which becomes standard with adaptive suspension. However, even the softest damping settings are still not felt at all.
