Albert Brings Ellie a Bird 🦉 03/12/23 22:59

Finally, Albert shows up on-cam at the nest. He had not been seen, only heard, after the event with the Porcupine. He looks fine with no visible injuries or handicaps as he passes the bird to Ellie. She has a bit of trouble grabbing it, then realizes she can't swallow it as well. So, she puts it off to the side for a bit.

After yesterday's instances at the nest, it's wonderful to see all is well in Ellis Farm GHO Land. With Albert swooping down on the Porcupine twice, while Ellie stood in defense over the eggs, curling her talons inward so she would not step on one, and the Magpie that tried to draw her off the nest to steal an egg, it was very gratifying to know that Dad, Mom, and Owlets-to-be are all doing just fine with on-cam observation.
