RI Rep. Patricia Morgan Questions Rep. Kislak On Elimination Of Fossil Fuel Lawn Equipment By 2028

Rep. Kislak, a Democrat, introduces House bill H5549 that would in effect eliminate all fossil fuel lawn equipment from homes and landscapers by 2028.

Rep. Kislak said she would replace her gas power water heater with an electric heater when it goes. Why not now and show you’re serious?

Isn’t the end game to eliminate the use of any fossil fuels because as we know, electricity is free and zero emissions, right?

Rep. Patricia Morgan questions the sponsor on the true environmental benefit and cost outlay that the average person would incur if this bill passes. Rep. Kislak had no answers for any basic questions but revealed it was just a conversational starter.
