Australian Army: Maintaining Stability

This is an actual ad published by Defence Australia in 2023.

I only learned in 2020 that the military have a historically very distinct separation from police forces, and for an important reason.

"There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people."

The future looks kind of dystopian.
