US blames Pakistani govt for inability to tackle militant groups (armed with US weapons)

A US Democratic congressman has slammed the pro-Western government in Islamabad for its inability to tackle threats posed by local militant groups. A Pakistani branch of the Taliban, known as the TPP, is waging open war with the government, engaging in blackmail, terrorism, and the murder of hundreds of police officers.
The country's underfunded police force is battling an enemy, armed to the teeth with American weapons that were left behind in the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan.
