Green Sea Turtles Honu, Hawaii

Have you ever watched green sea turtles up close? It is quite a fantastic experience! Peter Benson and I spent some time observing sea turtles emerging from the Pacific Ocean and crawling onto the golden beach of Honu, Hawaii. Honu (sea turtles) are in warm subtropical and tropical ocean waters worldwide. To the Hawaiian people, sea turtles, or “Honu,” are sacred creatures. They embody good luck, protection, endurance, and long life. They gather on the beach to rest and charge their bodies with energy.
