Severe myocarditis weakens the heart - Senate Estimates 16.02.23

“The present study showed increased risk of myocarditis after a positive test result for SARS-CoV-2 infection, and the risk was highest in the older age groups, whereas the risk of myocarditis after vaccination was highest in the younger age groups…..There are also some limitations of the study. We defined events as an inpatient hospital admission with a corresponding main or secondary discharge diagnosis of myocarditis or pericarditis….. studies on the long-term prognosis of vaccine-associated cases of myocarditis are lacking and are urgently needed.”

More lies from Skerritt in estimates. The Nordic publication he refers to is a meta analysis of hospital data of people admitted to hospital with myocarditis.
It does not take into account people who weren’t admitted to hospital with Myocarditis which is usually the case for the majority of people. The study should have included people who presented to doctor clinics and emergency wards, not just hospital in stays.

Furthermore as advised to me by a number of cardiologists, Myocarditis can be a sub clinical condition that isn’t always detected.

Secondly even that data shows that the risk of myocarditis was higher after vaccination (than Covid) in younger groups. (I suspect older people weren’t admitted to hospital for myocarditis after vaccination, but were for Covid hence explaining that result.)

Furthermore, this is what the Mayo clinic says about myocarditis leading to heart attacks and strokes:
“Severe myocarditis weakens the heart so that the rest of the body doesn't get enough blood. Clots can form in the heart, leading to a stroke or heart attack.”

The only one doing the misleading is Skerritt.
