How Should We Respond to Critical Theory?

The subject of critical theory has become a much discussed and hotly debated issue in our culture over the past few years. Sometimes people focus heavily on "Critical Race Theory" or CRT, but there are many different types of critical theories out there. Sometimes, however, people miss what critical theory actually is. So, what is critical theory? Why is it appealing to our culture to adopt critical-theory perspectives? And how can we, as Christians, engage our friends and neighbors when issues related to critical theory discussed?
