Enter his most recent and potentially biggest hit, “Billie Eilish”. With a background track sampling 2002’s “Nothin” by NORE, Armani would cleverly leverage the TikTok platform to catch Billie Eilish’s eye and get her approval for the use of her name in the song. But it didn’t happen immediately. After producing the song and getting it to the point where it was ready to go, the music execs at Universal got cold feet with naming the track after the uber-popular pop star and demanded Armani get her explicit permission before releasing it. So, Armani got in touch with Billie’s reps and sent her the track. A day or two passed and nothing. Then, a video showed up on Billie’s Instagram of her friend dancing to the song and that was all Armani needed to get the track cleared.
