Flush cutting spray foam -construction project

This is a simple task that could always go sideways without proper prevention of finished surfaces. It isn’t too difficult to clean the spray foam off with sandpaper or a scraper, but who wants to go through that extra effort?

For the record this flush cut was purchased in 2002. The amount of places this thing has been, and the fact that I still have it, is a minor miracle.
