Can you talk a little bit about how much these social media companies understand that what they're doing is contributing to exactly the diet dynamic you describe particularly with kids? Yeah, it would be bad enough if a company was selling us a product that they didn't know you know kind of unintentionally harming us you know? Pops you know we're marketing you some toy or some device the next thing you know it's you know we didn't know. but what the Francis hoggin she was the Facebook whistleblower and that employee of Facebook that showed us the internal emails/two things happened they had internal research on Instagram that showed that vulnerable teens that were on Instagram British teens had high 12 higher rates of suicidality. American teams had six percent rates of suicidality. and that if you had an eating disorder your suit your self-harm rates when I'm 17%. and they knew this there were internal emails that they were having discussions about whether should we adjust the algorithms to make them less toxic. because here's the thing it's not as if sad or depressed people go on Instagram and they get sadder. they're targeted. So the algorithm acts like a heat-seeking missile toward people's psychological vulnerabilities and attacks them with information that will make them more unwell. because being more unwell they're more inclined to rubber neck toxic content. so the young girl struggling with body image issues is more prone to look at toxic content. that it's going to be hurtful for them. and knowing this they did this anyway. That's where I think it's really good there's legal liability there but there's also ethical liability there as well.
