The Power of Faith and belief

What is faith and how does it work? Both Faith and belief are needed in our everyday life. One without the other makes no sense. the bible teaches us that God intends our faith and our actions to go hand in hand.
The book of James 2:14 Says "My dear brothers and sisters, what good is it if someone claims to have faith but demonstrates no good works to prove it? How could this kind of faith save anyone?"
