Kanye West Supports White Lives Matter #Shorts

Kanye West proceeded to bring those words to life in spectacular car-wreck-like fashion by hosting a secret catwalk event that wound up including one rather surprising fashion faux-pas – a shirt with the slogan “White Lives Matter”. The shirt -- which features a picture of Pope John Paull II on the front and the controversial statement on the back -- was worn by models on the catwalk and by Ye himself along with other guests like right-wing commentator Candace Owens. For those of you who might not be aware, the Anti-Defamation League categorizes the phrase “White Lives Matter” – which reframes the “Black Lives Matter” phrase used to protest against brutality – as a hate statement. And let’s be honest, it’s not like Ye did this in anything resembling a vacuum. After all, it was only a few years ago in 2018 that he said 400 years of slavery in the US “sounds like a choice” to him.
