The Lost Continent (1968) edit

When I was a kid in the '70s, I was watching the TV show "That's Hollywood" which was basically a half-hour clip show of movies. There was a very quick clip during one montage of a guy falling through a trap door and being eaten by some strange mutant creatures. That scene horrified and disturbed me and stuck with me for a very long time.

My six year old brain saw it very differently than it apparently was, and over the years my memories of it are incredibly different. Before I recently saw this again, I remembered it as an Italian horror film where a man with black hair was walking through a large hallway, a trapdoor opens beneath him and he falls into a large area of mutant creature-things. Except I remembered them as pale yellow with black highlights.

I'm almost positive this is the scene I actually saw, because I've seen nearly every Italian horror film ever made and there's been nothing remotely like this. But holy hell, this serves as a perfect example of how human memory is not to be trusted
