One brand that took a little more time to decide what to do was Adidas. In the fallout to Paris Fashion Week the sportswear company had announced that their partnership with Ye was “under review”. In the weeks after Adidas released this statement, Ye would boldly claim that the company couldn’t drop him in the aftermath of the scandal. But Adidas would call Ye’s bluff and on October 25th, they’d officially announce they were terminating their Yeezy brand effective immediately. By ending its contract with Ye, Adidas is expected to lose somewhere around $230 Million in profits this year. This happened on the same day that GAP made the decision to remove Yeezy GAP products from their store-shelves and shut down YeezyGap.com. With the closure of the Yeezy brand, Forbes reported that Ye was no longer a billionaire with his net-worth falling from $2 Billion to $400 Million overnight.
