Eventually, one of the men Maegan was involved with became the whistleblower who alerted the Mayor as to what was going on. That man was Sgt. Ty McGowan. But here’s the thing – while McGowan was more than willing to tell the Mayor’s office what Maegan and everyone else was up to, he kind of left out the very important detail that he was also complicit in sharing a bed with her. He also reportedly became rude and verbally aggressive when his own activity was eventually questioned and investigated. As a result of the probe, five officers were fired including Patrol Officer Juan Lugo, Sgt. Lewis Powell, Detective Seneca Shields, Sgt. Ty MgGown, and, of course, Maegan herself. Furthermore, three other officers were suspended without pay, Patrol Officer Patrick Magliocco, Patrol Officer Gavin Schoeberl, and K-9 Officer Larry Holladay. For those of you wondering, that means in a town of just 40,000 people, La Vergne’s police force has now shrunk by a total of 12%.
