Anyone who’s ever watched “The Dark Knight” (which – yeah – is practically everyone) knows this one simple truth – given enough time, the hero always turns into the villain. This brings us to Ja Morant. You’d be hard pressed to find a more likable superstar than this dude in the entire NBA. Not only is he incredibly exciting on the court, but he’s amazing with his fans. Simply put, Ja is among the very brightest stars the league has offer and to top it all off, he’s recently been blessed with his own signature Nike shoe and selected as the new face of Gatorade as he prepares to lead the Memphis Grizzlies in what will hopefully become a deep post-season run. But now, in a string of incidents that date back to last summer, Morant and some of the people in his inner circle have been accused of threatening and violent behavior. What’s more, the Memphis Grizzlies -- every NBA fan’s favorite team to watch last season -- has suddenly turned heel and become that bad guys. When asked by a reporter back in February if he believed the Grizzlies are the most hated team in the NBA. In other words, the Grizzlies formerly youthful and fun-loving attitude has given way to a far less likeable cocksure demeanor in an attempt to cement themselves as one of the league’s upper-echelon contenders despite the fact that -- outside of a Round One playoff series win last season -- they really haven’t accomplished much of anything at all.
