BEFORE becoming one of the most controversial figures in rap music of recent history, hip-hop artist Blueface was born Johnathan Michael Porter on January 20th, 1997 in the city of Angels -- Los Angeles, California. Unfortunately for him, Blueface’s parents would divorce soon afterwards, leading to his shuffling back and forth living with them both, splitting his childhood between California and the state of Ohio. Blueface kept up this hectic pace all throughout his earliest years. Then, when he became a teenager, things settled down a bit. He spent the first few years of high-school living in Santa Clarita Valley while his mom pursued an acting career that never went anywhere. Instead, it ended up being Blueface who booked himself a McDonald’s commercial. Shortly thereafter his mother relocated to the San Fernando Valley during Blueface’s senior year and he’d transfer to Arleta High School where he joined the marching band and had his first taste of musical production.But back then, it wasn’t music that appealed to this young kid. Instead, Blueface was very much into football. And he was good too. Having honed his chops during the first few years of high-school, when Blueface arrived at his new school he became the starting quarterback and carried his team to an 8-4 record, including winning the East Valley League championship.
