Thanks to that age-old adage of “quantity over quality”, entrepreneur Dhar Mann has found substantial success with content creation. But the man whose most well-known for his cringe-inducing morality plays designed to teach viewers a vital life lesson is now being canceled for failing to apply those same principles of care and consideration to the actors who work for him. First, a little background. Dhar Mann was born on May 29th, 1984 to a pair of entrepreneurs from India who founded a taxi cab service based out of Oakland, California. Dhar started his business while studying political science and economics at the University of California. There, he founded a real estate brokerage company. Afterward, he expanded into luxury car rentals and the cannabis business with a franchise known as “WeGrow”. Some of those business ventures didn’t exactly go as planned, but before we dig further into those failures, let’s take a quick look at how Dhar’s production company operates. In 2018, Mann founded Dhar Mann Studios to produce content for social media platforms, primarily, YouTube and Facebook. While his earliest content was largely motivational in nature – it failed to generate interest. In fact, the first video he ever uploaded received only about 125 views. That’s when Dhar switched things up and took on a more morality-play-based approach.
