He talks about how love is a competition and how good-looking people get plenty of it, but have yet never had to fight for it.

He equates love to competition and by having something lovely someone is going to come along and challenge you for it. And for those who never had to fight for anything in their life, it's not going to end well. Such a great answer from the young still incarcerated Iron Mike.
