Scripture Readings
Gn 12:1-4a - Ps 33:4-5, 18-19, 20, 22. - 2 Tm 1:8b-10 - Mt 17:1-9

Welcome Two Tasks
1. Provide a Reflection on the Readings
2. Encourage, cajole, inspire, motivate, guilt…
I have one thought I'd like to highlight from each of the readings and then I will provide three steps for us to be transformed in our own lives

1st Reading - … leave your comfort zone - "Go forth from the land of your kinsfolk and from your father's house to a land that I will show you.

2nd Reading - …Don’t Quit - Bear your share of hardship for the gospel
with the strength that comes from God.

GOSPEL - …Change and be a change for others - his face shone like the sun
and his clothes became white as light.

3 Steps to Being Transformed

Listen
1. God said,”This is My beloved son with whom I am
well pleased. Listen to Him.”
Lenten Mass at St Martin - Eucharist
a. Don’t put human needs, wants, desires before the will of God.
b. Do we wake up in the morning and say, Good morning God or do we say, Good God morning. What comes first our coffee or our prayers.
c. Do we even want to listen to God.
d. How do we listen to God. We start by listening to each other:
1. Boy $8.33 - Just spend some time with me today.

Respond
1. God called Abram, and by extension us, to go forth. It is not easy to change or to leave our "old" life, our old ways. But we are called by God to be transformed into a new Holy life in Jesus. We must believe that God will provide.

1. We are called to trust in God. "Upright is the word of the Lord and all of His works are trustworthy”.
