Tension arose in Tel Aviv as a massive anti-government rally took over the streets of the city on Thursday.

According to local media, at least three people were injured in a shooting during the demonstration. Israeli security forces suspect the shooting could have been a terrorist attack. The gunman was reportedly neutralized by the police, and those injured were taken to the Sourasky Medical Center in the city.

The assault took place as thousands of people protested in the Israeli capital against the last judiciary reform introduced by Benjamin Netanyahu's government. The new system would reportedly limit the Tribunals' powers and grant further authority to the parliament.
