A new lawsuit filed Wednesday March 8th 2023 in Los Angeles, CA details the plight of Karyn McCarthy, a Hollywood producer with a quickly rising star that seems to have gotten done DIRTY by DISNEY. According to her lawsuit, she was contracted by Lucasfilm to make the newest Star Wars TV show, The Acolyte, and was then terminated without cause or warnings just 2 weeks later. In the meantime she had turned down another multi year multi million dollar offer from APPLE to executive produce a new show for Apple TV. Now, Karyn McCarthy was OUT and had nothing. Lucasfilm refused to honor the agreement, only offering Karyn $5000 to basically go away.

Now Karyn McCarthy and her talent agency UTA will take Lucasfilm to court, short of Lucasfilm making any sort of serious settlement offer. But you have to ask yourself, WHY did they not do that in the first place...?
