Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell hospitalized after fall

On Thursday, Mitch McConnell, the leader of the Senate Republicans, did not attend the Senate session as he had been hospitalized following a fall at a nearby hotel the previous evening.

Additional information regarding McConnell’s condition or the duration of his absence was not provided by his office, as reported by the Associated Press.

While attending a Senate Leadership Fund dinner at the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, which was previously known as the Trump International Hotel, Mitch McConnell, the 81-year-old Kentucky senator and the committee’s ally, tripped and was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical attention, according to spokesman Doug Andres.
