Old Man reacts to Merle Haggard's "Are the Good Times really over for Good?" (1982)
When things are at their darkest it is usually just before the dawn. Merle released this song early in the Reagan years which saw love of country and patriotism soar as the wounds of the Vietnam Era finally healed.
