A man in the USA has been charged with the murder of four people after a child who lived in the same house video called a relative for help.

The suspect, identified as Domenico Gigante, 36, from the city of Rockledge, in Brevard County, Florida, USA, was arrested and detained for shooting his teenage daughter and three other people on Wednesday, 1st March.

He was later charged with four counts of first-degree premeditated murder, after officers from the Brevard County Sheriff's Office found the victim's bodies in a home on Alan Shephard Avenue in the community of Canaveral Grove.

They were later identified as Kiara Terwilliger, 15, and her mother Constance Terwilliger, 35, along with Glenda Terwilliger, 63, and Michael Watson, 36, who all lived in the house at the time of the incident.

Reports revealed that cops also found two children, aged 6 and 9, inside the residence who were unharmed.

The investigations reportedly began in the early morning after one of the children video called another person who was told that people had been shot at the residence.

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said: "Something like FaceTime, or something of that nature, through video contact, the small child told the reportee what had taken place and what they had seen at the house.

"[The caller] kept the child on the video the entire time as they were concerned for the child's safety."

The person, who was reportedly a relative of the child, then dialled 911 at around 2am.

Brevard County Sheriff's Office said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: "The caller advised that he was contacted by a minor child, who also lived at the residence.

"The caller responded to the residence where he found the decedents, as well as two minor children, who were not injured.

"Deputies responded and confirmed the deaths.

"The two minor children are currently in the process of being reunited with other family members."

Latter investigations showed that Gigante was in a relationship with Constance and was the father of Kiara.

He reportedly left his house at around 1am on 1st March and travelled to the victims' residence.

Upon arrival, he broke in and shot them, before leaving the place and heading home.

Ivey said: "I'm going to tell you that this is an extremely violent individual with an extremely violent past dating back as far as 2005, who should have never been on our streets, where he could take the lives of this entire family."

Gigante is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail Complex with no bond.

The motive for the quadruple homicide remains unclear.

It was not disclosed if he has entered a plea or retained a lawyer to speak on his behalf.
