Gen IV 5.3 Chevy LS Bottom End Rebuild for the 1989 Chevy Short Bed OBS 4x4! #lsswaptheworld

As you saw in previous videos, we tore down the Gen IV Chevy LS 5.3L that will be going in project Thumper, that soon to be daily driver 1989 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 regular cab short bed OBS. In this video, Micah and Mike rebuild the bottom end using King and Clevite bearings along with Hasting piston rings. Now mind you, this is a down and dirty rebuild, the factory pistons, rods, mains, and cranked were all cleaned up and reused seeing they all checked out just fine! By the way, while they were working, I was in Indy with John sourcing small block Mopar parts for a future project! Enjoy this timelapse engine rebuild, there is a lot more to come on this project!
