To become a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it not only means that a place’s worth is globally recognized by the most authoritative organization, but also it helps the site gather attention from all over the world and grow remarkably as a tourist destination.
But did you know that there are actually a few sites in the world that once had the honorable title, only to have it taken away?
One of these notorious sites is Bagrati Cathedral in a country called Georgia.
In this video, I’m going to introduce a controversial cathedral which was removed from the UNESCO World Heritage List.
