Superman - The Bulleteers

The Bulleteers (1942)

At the stroke of midnight, a bullet-shaped rocket-car smashes through the police department, leaving behind an explosion. The next day, the paper reports the incident and the police's confusion. Perry White summons Lois Lane and Clark Kent to his office, and they hear the Bulleteers' leader making demands over a loudspeaker. The gang threatens to destroy municipal buildings if the city treasury is not turned over to them.

The mayor refuses to comply with the gang's demands, and the police fortify the town with sandbags and searchlights. At midnight, the Bulleteers attack again, destroying the town's power plant. Clark changes into his Superman costume, and he tries to stop the gang from targeting the treasury building. However, the Bulleteers shake him off, and they successfully steal the money.

Lois sneaks into the gang's car and attempts to sabotage the controls, but the Bulleteers return and take off with her. Superman chases after them and eventually saves Lois and apprehends the gangsters. The newspaper reports on Superman's heroism, and Lois credits Superman for her successful reporting.
