Terror on the Midway (1942)

The story takes place at a circus, where Clark Kent and Lois Lane are attending as reporters. While Lois is covering the events, a monkey accidentally releases a giant gorilla named "Gigantic", causing chaos as it rampages through the circus. As the workers attempt to restrain the gorilla, other animals are also let loose, causing even more pandemonium.
Meanwhile, Clark notices the commotion and follows the police to the circus. He quickly changes into his Superman costume and begins to help the workers return the animals to their cages. During the chaos, Lois becomes trapped on top of a pole holding up the tent, with the gorilla dangerously climbing towards her. Superman confronts the gorilla and ties it down, but a tent pole falls and starts a fire. Superman saves Lois from the flames and puts out the fire.
The story ends with Lois typing her article, while Clark relaxes nearby.
