Explaining the impact of California's new resentencing laws

Hundreds of convicted criminals in San Diego are seeking new, lighter punishments for serious crimes. It all falls under newer resentencing laws in California. While advocates for the laws are calling this a move in the right direction for criminal justice reform, District Attorney Summer Stephan says the process allows crime victims to be retraumatized.
