The Image of Jesus - 4

We know from Romans 8:29 that God destined Christians to become the image of Jesus just like Jesus is the image of and the fullness of the Father. Our destiny is to become just like Jesus. That is a long way from our worldly, carnal nature. How do we get there and what does that look like?

Prior teachings on our identity and this process of becoming the image of Jesus (Who Are You, and Living Under the Law or Grace) dive deep into the morphing process that Jesus is taking us through.

But, what is the end goal? What is this image of Jesus that we are becoming? The idea is that if I know where we are going, then maybe I at least not hinder the process. This teaching looks at the Gospels for examples of who Jesus really is. But, it also looks at two scriptures which provide us with a list of characteristics that beautifully describe Jesus, I Corinthians 13:4-7 and Galatians 5:22-23. This teaching examines the Greek words behind each English word in these lists and discovers original meanings which might not be what you would expect from the English words.
