IT'S TIME TO SAY A SAD GOODBYE!

Comes there a time to say goodbye,
even though such words make me cry.
Ending “us” is what I must do,
as I receive no love from you.

I’ve read the writing on the wall--
there’s little left for me at all.
Now, with final words from my pen,
I say I’ll not see you again.

I’ve tried and tried to reach out--
All to prove love beyond a doubt.
Yet all I get is misery.
The time has come to be set free.

Love cards I have e-mailed to you--
funny sayings, pictures to view,
and notes - ones tender, others fun
to let you know you were the one.

Your heart’s grown distant and cold,
so, I must now take actions bold.
I send to you words of goodbye,
even though they cause me to cry.

Thank you for the love you once gave--
a love I shall endlessly crave.
Excitement that we once did know,
now forever lost. I must go!
