Powell Testimony Today - "We Have to Bring Inflation Down"

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell testified to the US Senate on Tuesday. During the Senate Budget Committee's Powell Testimony today, Powell acknowledged that the USA would have to enter a recession in order to get inflation down. Powell reiterated that his number one job is getting inflation down, even if means the unemployment rate doubles to 7% and the United States enter a recession in 2023.
