Russel read that Christ had already returned in 1874, the thing was the HE had returned invisibly. This idea captured Russell’s attention. The JW’s would use this same reasoning in 1914.
Russell started another magazine and called it Zion's Watch Tower and Herald of Christ's Presence and published it in 1879.
