Longacre Square - Time Square - Symbol of New York City (NYC)
Times Square is known for its bright lights, billboards, and large electronic screens that display advertisements, news, and other information. It is one of the busiest pedestrian areas in the world and attracts millions of visitors each year.
The area was originally known as Longacre Square, but it was renamed in 1904 after The New York Times moved its headquarters to the newly constructed Times Building, which is now known as One Times Square. This building is famous for its New Year's Eve ball drop, which is watched by millions of people around the world.
Times Square is also home to many popular attractions such as Madame Tussauds wax museum, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, the TKTS booth where visitors can purchase discounted Broadway show tickets, and the Hershey's Chocolate World store.
